Jill is an associate attorney at our firm. She grew up in New Jersey, but has been a Florida resident for 30+ years. She received her Associates of Applied Science degree in Interpreting for the Deaf from Union County College, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida in Gainesville. After graduating from law school, Jill served as a judicial staff attorney for the Ninth Circuit. After nine years of researching and writing judicial legal opinions, she moved to the Public Defender’s office, and then to the Department of Children and Families.
After more than 25 years of public service to the citizens of Central Florida, Jill went into private practice. Before joining DSK Law, Jill’s legal practice served her clients in such areas as family law, dependency, delinquency, criminal law, and civil litigation. Jill’s broad legal knowledge and experience in both public and private litigation makes her a powerful resource and advocate for her clients.
Along with her legal practice, Jill is the curriculum head for the instruction of American Sign Language at Rollins College. She has been instrumental in creating many cross-cultural experiences between her students and the local Deaf community, with whom she is very involved. Jill was also a local foster parent, providing high quality care, love and support to the most difficult to place and marginalized group of foster children, teen mothers. She continues to support these young mothers into their ‘20’s.
Jill is admitted to practice in all Florida Courts and looks forward to assisting you with your legal needs.
