Hugo de Beaubien is a Founding Partner of our firm. He was raised in Birmingham, Michigan, and Ormond Beach, Florida. After receiving an undergraduate degree in business from Florida State University in 1970, he was awarded his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University in 1973. At Stetson, Hugo served as Exchequer of Phi Delta Phi and as President of the senior class.
Hugo has been active in the Orange County Bar Association through his service as Chairman of the Criminal Law Section and Legal Forums Committee. He also served as Director of the Citizen Dispute Settlement Program, and as a mediator. He has lectured throughout the state in continuing legal education programs and served as both Secretary and board member for the Central Florida Defense Attorneys Association. He was the National Chairman of the Florida State Alumni Association and past President of the Orlando Touchdown Club. He was named one of the Outstanding Young Men of America in 1984 and was honored in Who’s Who in American Law in 1996. He is an “AV” rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell.
Hugo is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
