Omayra Fuentes Otero was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She received her bachelor’s degree in arts with a minor in photography from the University of Puerto Rico. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she was awarded her Juris Doctorate graduating Cum Laude from the Pontifical University of Puerto Rico in Ponce.
In 2015, Omayra was admitted to the practice of law in Puerto Rico. She is also admitted to practice in the federal district court and is a public notary. While in Puerto Rico she worked for the legal services corporation serving indigent clients.
After practicing law for 3 years, she decided to move to central Florida and pursue the state’s bar license. After being admitted in the state of Florida Omayra practice as a criminal defense attorney handling traffic, misdemeanors and felony cases in Orange, Osceola and Polk counties.
