Bart Valdes and Robert Belle Earn Florida Bar Board Certification

Our Partner, Bart Valdes, and our associate, Robert Belle, have both become Florida Bar Board Certified Specialists.  Bart earned his Florida Bar Board Certification in Business Litigation and Robert earned his Florida Bar Board Certification in Criminal Trial Law.

Board certification evaluates an attorney’s special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in various areas of the law as well as professionalism and ethics in practice.  Less than 5% of all of the attorneys licensed to practice in Florida have earned board certification.  In fact, there are only 246 Board Certified Specialists in Business Litigation and there are only 386 Board Certified Specialists in Criminal Trial Law in the entire State of Florida.

Board certification is one of the highest recognitions a lawyer in Florida can receive.  Board certification in these areas can only be earned after being involved in several trials and contested matters, months of study, passing a very difficult day long test and going through an extensive background peer review process.  Board certified lawyers are set apart because their expertise and professionalism have been objectively verified through rigorous examination and peer review. This is a great accomplishment for Bart and Robert!
