David Simmons: An Example of Why Lawyers Make Great Politicians

The Florida Bar recently sat down with David Simmons – Florida Senator and Partner of de Beaubien Knight Simmons Mantzaris & Neal, LLP.  The article describes the integrity and ethical parallels between a lawyer and a politician. By taking a new approach in his studies towards becoming a lawyer, Mr. Simmons enriched his outlook and reasoning skills with a math degree. “My thinking is it would be more acceptable for someone going to law school,” Simmons said. “The beauty of being a math major or a science major is it teaches logic, and logic is a great thing for the law.”
